What to Expect
The Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate exam costs $99 USD This is the associate-level cert and also requires annual renewal at $99 per year. You'll face 60 questions in 90 minutes, giving you roughly 1 minute and 30 seconds per question. Pass/fail with a 70% passing threshold. Results are immediate. Like other Meta certs, you don't get a domain-level breakdown, just your overall pass/fail status and percentage.
Prerequisites and Audience
No prerequisites at all. This is Meta's entry-level marketing certification, designed for people who are new to digital advertising on Meta platforms. That said, you should at least have a Facebook Business Page and basic familiarity with Ads Manager. If you've never seen the Ads Manager interface, the practical questions will be confusing. Marketing professionals, small business owners, career changers, and students who want to demonstrate foundational competence in Meta advertising. This is the "getting started" certification for anyone who works with Facebook and Instagram ads. If you're a junior marketer at an agency or a business owner managing your own campaigns, this validates your baseline knowledge.
Staying Certified
Annual renewal required. Retake the exam every year. Meta's platform changes frequently enough that this actually makes sense — features from last year may work differently or not exist anymore.
